         Hey guys, its me again

So, right now Houdini has his massive condo all to himself, but its rather depressing. He doesnt have toys D: Ive gotten him many toys, but he doesnt seem to want to play with them. He used to like wicker balls, so I got him a bunch but he didnt touch them. He doesnt touch cardboard boxes. I’m thinking I should just throw a bunch of toys in so he has something to play with when he gets bored.

Also, Whenever I let him out for free time. He doesnt play with toys, or really anything. He’ll go and eat hay, then go sun bathe, eat, loaf, eat, relax in his condo.

And hes completely healed from his liver infection

        Any ideas?

My boy doesn’t play with toys either -_-.

I hear sturdy cat toys make fun and easy things to add to their cage. I have a ball with a bell in it he likes to push around sometimes (I found out he was deaf though…so the bell is pointless ). I’ve also seen pieces of cardboard with strands of tissue paper or newspaper tied through it to make a sort of octopus thing you can hang. Toilet paper rolls filled with hay and/or veggies…yeah that’s all I’ve got for now.

Some bunnies just don’t really play with toys. I know that my girl doesn’t really. She has been doing so a little more lately, but still, not a lot of toy playing. What I have found that she loves is: tunnels! I just got some a concrete form from Home Depot and cut it into three. She doesn’t really chew them, but she does love to run through them. She also has just a plain cardboard box, that again, she doesn’t really chew, but she does like to just go into and sleep. The funny thing is that if I do put her toys in there, she moves them around/tries to get them back out. Her moveable toys are just some wooden blocks from the petstore that look like the little alphabet blocks you probably had as a little kid, and toilet paper rolls. She has some hanging wood chews, and a seagrass mat woven through the bars of her cage. Though she doesn’t touch them. Her litterbox is even chewable, but she just doesn’t chew.

Another idea is to put a treat that you know he loves into a toilet paper roll and roll the edges so it is stuck inside unless he chews it out.

I think those toys are great ideas. I am going to try them out to see if my bun will like them.

My bunny doesn’t seem to like toys much either. However when I give him toilet rolls he picks them up and throws them. I can’t tell if he likes them or does it out of frustration..!

Hunny likes to play Tug of War… I picked up a teaser wand (at the Dollar Store, it’s a cat toy, plastic stick with ribbons at the end) and I twirl it around her head or drag it along the floor slow enough for her to grab hold then she gives it a tug trying to get it out of my hand… I tug back a lil’ so she’s gotta work for it but in the end she always wins, lol. She’ll play that for a good 10-15 min before she’s had enough for 1 day. I also get lil’ (natural) baskets from the dollar store, different shapes & sizes. She loves chewing the handles off them & picking them up & tossing them about. Another thing I picked up was a package of those Chinese finger cuffs ($2 for a pack of 12 @ 5 Below & I’ve also seen them at the Dollar Store…) I toss one of those to her & she quick snatches up & goes to town… Again tho, she loses interest after a few mins but every now and again she’ll pull it out & chew it up for a bit. I tried a plastic slinky (Michael’s craft store for $1) as I had seen a couple videos with bunnies tossing 1 of those around but she didn’t really take to it… It hangs on the side of her pen now & once in a blue moon she’ll pull at it. We’ve done willow balls but she tears those up in minutes (get’s a bit expensive). She also has a cat ball with a bell that she’ll push around now and again & there’s a hanging multi-colored wooden (bird toy) with a bell on the pen door that she’ll mess with early in the morning when she hears my alarm go off… That’s her way of saying “Get up lady… let me outta here & feed me… NOW!!” Haha!

Take a walk around the dollar store & you’ll be amazed at what kind of things you can find that make great toys… and if bunny hates it well… you only paid a buck instead of the ridiculous amounts of money the pet stores are asking…
