Why does Aria like to dig into my clothes when I pick her up? How do i stop this?

She may just really dislike being picked up -- most bunnies get really upset when picked up since they're prey animals and being picked up feels almost like it would being eaten. They prefer to stay with feet flat on the floor!! Picking up any buns (ESPECIALLY when they dislike being picked up) can be dangerous not only to you but potentially life-threatening to them. They can either kick hard enough to snap their spines out of fear or kick so much you accidentally drop them and injure them. If she doesn't want to be picked up, I'd suggest just leaving her on the ground and getting to know her that way. It's really the better option for you and her bonding to a healthy relationship.

TIME and PATIENCE. I most definitely learned with my skittish bun that you have to let her do everything HER way. She'll eventually get more curious and wanna know more about you. Don't give up hope or get too depressed! I did with my bun but eventually she began to come around (especially a couple weeks after her spay) and was more willing to give us a chance to be friends with her! I know you said she was recently spayed -- we read a lot about using her spay period to make her feel babied and loved by you. We gave her LOTS of attention on her terms -- feeding her veggies from our hands or setting it piece by piece in her cage and letting her nibble at it and then when she finished we'd do it again. She eventually became more interested in my hand and eventually started grabbing the veggies from me if I'd hold a long piece out to her! It's lots of work but so worth it in the end! Or I'd just sit outside her cage watching her and talking to her. She really began to come around. Before she would barely ever even come near us much less let us touch her so I promise with time and patience you'll figure her out!

im gonna try giving her one piece of veggie at a time so that she becomes used to my hand like you said

Let me know how it goes! Use a very fragrant herb. Something she can definitely smell and will be more tempted to take a big munch out of.

im thinking im going to try cilantro..i know alot of ppl give parsely to their bunnies, i dont usually have that on hand so havent been giving that to them but i will pick some up tonight! along with those craisins you were talking bout..ill let you know how they respond to em!

Olivia does this to me too. Most bunnies hate being held, since they are prey animals. I only hold my bunnies when necessary. A lot of bunnies will let their humans cuddle with them on the floor.
