I don't quite know what's wrong with him. He's still a baby and i put him down for a little hop and then he started to shake and twitch his head and ears and then started itching it??? What's wrong with him? At first i though he was doing binkies but then he stopped jumping and just kept shaking and twitching his ears!! Any ideas? hes stopped it now but i don't know if it's serious...

It's normal for them to shake their heads and scratch their ears occasionally, but if it happens very often it is possible that there may be some sort of parasite or infection problem that needs vet attention.

Ditto peppypoo. Shaking and grooming their ears is normal (rabbits groom themselves all over), but doing it excessively would be cause to visit the vet.

If he hasn't seen a vet before, it would be a good idea to go in for a baseline check and mention the ear thing. If the vet doesn't find anything wrong, then you'll know it's probably just his normal behavior.

Yeah, Thane does this when he's done something bold and I've caught him, or when he's extremely happy. Like the other guys have said, they love to groom their ears.

Is it excessive? Have you looked into bun's ears? Is there a smell? If so, a vet check is important. When I got Thane, within the first week or so I wanted the vet to do a full check to make sure he was okay because I was a new bun owner. Turned out he had an eye infection which I never would have known.

Long story short, I recommend a full check up if it's a new bun.

When Lola was younger she used to do that ALL the time - it was almost like she didn't realize what her ears were and they would scare her (I put a video below to compare if it's something similar your bun is doing). I also agree if it's a new bun they probably need a check-up - but in my case it was nothing to worry about other than a silly bun getting used to her floppy ears.

ETA: I think you were the one that started the white sludgy pee thread?  So if you already have a vet's appt scheduled just start making a list of things to ask them!  I always forget things so it helps having that list when you go in!
