        Hey everyone!

I figured I’d introduce myself and my little man..

I’m Brittany and I rescued my bun about a month ago, I have named him Yeti.

the vet says he’s a lionhead but I’m not so sure. whatever he is, he’s adorable.

we are hoping to find some friends and advice and i figured ‘hey why not sign up!’

        so here we are…

        Brittany and Yeti,

Thank You. Yeah the neighbour moved and left him in his garage. tried getting a hold of him with no luck. so we took him to the vet. got him neutured and checked out. hes a healthy guy.. we have no idea what his breed is.. for some reason i believe hes a mix (is that possible?) the vet said lionhead. im not so sure. we dont know how old he is either.. which is a little stressful. but i believe hes still a baby due to his weight. if buns can be 6lb’s… and hes just under 2.. he must be young.

                  Welcome Britt!

That was amazing of you to rescue Yeti. I can’t believe his previous owners just left him locked up in the garage like that. That is HORRIBLE!!!  My first bun Beatrix I found in my yard so I had no idea what she was, or if she was even a girl. When we took her to the vet they told us she was a wild mix, female and also about a year to a year and a half old and she weighed 2 pounds. We thought because of her small size she was a baby. I’m suprised your vet didn’t mentnion age. From the pictures Yeti looks like a cross between a lionhead and something else…I’d say a Jersey Wooly but he doesn’t have the hair. A dwarf of some kind maybe? With so many different breeds its so hard to tell. Either way he looks precious!

ive been watching his weight and his size as the month has gone on and he is definitely growing.. not just in weight but his legs are getting longer. 😮 hes definitely a wonderful little dude. and it really doesnt matter so much what he is as long as he’s healthy.

It’s quite likely that he’s a mix of some sort since most people get their bunnies from petstores, sadly. Doesn’t take away from his cuteness though!

                        Welcome.

I just heard recently that the lionhead breed usually is on the small size- I’m not sure how accurate that is but age isn’t always based on weight. My Bunjamin is a year old and only 2.5 lbs. Maybe your vet could help you with age. I’m so happy you rescued him! He looks cute in your profile picture.

bunjamin.. that is an AMAZING name. i thought i was being creative with yeti..  cause hes white… snow man.. etc. but bunjamin is fantastic!

and thank you for the info. i have to talk with my vet about flea and tick prevention so ill ask about his age at the same time.
