Hey there, I'm not "new" to the forum BUT tonight we added another lil' giant to our family. He (fingers crossed, as we checked a crap load of times) doesn't have a name yet... waiting to get a taste of his personality before we name him & till we get the vet check that tells me 100% that's he's got boy goods.
Future pics & posts (about bonding) to come...

Welp as my luck has it our vet's leaning towards the new baby being a female... She's not 100% since the Ashes (The name we decided on) is only 6 weeks old. So in another couple months she's gonna check again to be 100% then we'll schedule her (his) spay (neuter). Now I worry they may never bond if Ashes is in fact female... Though it is way too soon for me to think of giving up & I do realize I will def have to have her spay before they will be living together. I'm still having bathroom play dates & switching out litter boxes. Just letting them get better aquainted. I know with them both being female it'll be a territory thing between 'em but I'm hopeful... I'm curious if there is anyone here who has bonded 2 females. |

/wave I've got a pair of girls, so it can definitely happen! Don't get discouraged by that. Territory is an issue no matter the gender. Just take it slow, and in extremely neutral territory after she has been spayed. |

Thanks everyone... I'm still having a hard time believing Ashes is female... Both the breeder & I checked a bunch of times & i've have been checking still & using pics I have found online as comparison & I still think Ashes is male BUT like my bf said I gotta wait it out and give it another month or so. Any who, on a lighter note Hunny's been grooming Ashes thru the bars of Ashes' pen & has stopped getting all crazy like when ever Ashes goes by her pen so they are def getting use to each other whether they are both female or male & female. |
