Hi I'm new to Binky Bunny.
I'm extremely grateful for this site (love the products) and forum. I'm a fairly new rabbit owner so having a chance to talk with other rabbit owners is wonderful.
My wonderful rabbit lop dwarf is Skipper. I believe that Skipper is about six months old. She's been with us for about four months. She was actually given to my boyfriend and I as a gift after our aging ferret passed away. She was unfortunately bought at a pet store since the person who bought her for us did not know much about rabbits. Despite where she comes from we love her to death.
She is not spayed and we are currently looking into different vets so that she can be. Trying to find a rabbit savvy vet has been a bit of hassle. It seems that rabbits are not popular pets where we live.
Skipper is an extremely mellow little bunny. She's only thumped her foot at me twice in irritation. (And of course not once at my boyfriend! She must be a daddy's girl.) I've had noisy cats all my life, so sometimes I get a little concerned by her calm, nonvocal personality.
I've had cats, a ferret, and a turtle as pets before Skipper. It was actually my boyfriend's idea to get a bunny. After our ferret passed away we started looking into other pets to get. It was really lonely to not have him running around the house and trying to bite our ankles. I had sort of the mentality that rabbits were not a fun pet to have. Boy was I pleasantly proved wrong! I'm so happy that we have Skipper and would not trade her for the world.
There's not much to who I am. I'm a poor college student who lives with her high school sweetheart. I'm terrible at gardening but am trying to not kill the vegetables that we planted for Skipper's garden. I am a massive gamer and write in my free time.
