Thunder is 6 months old and we have had him since he was 8 week.   He is brought in from his cage every evening and gets to run around for a few hours, get cuddles etc..  How will Thunder cope we are going on holidays for 2 weeks and a friend is house sitting but i doubt they will bring Thunder in every night as we have.  Will he cope or do u reckon it will set him back a bit ? What do u suggest?

Is it possible for you to hire a pet sitter?  I have had a great deal of success w/ pet sitters for my cats and reptiles and believe that they are an excellent option for those that go out of town or on holiday.  You should be able to get referrals from your vet or there is a pet sitter organization that maintains ww listings on the web.

If he's not going to be getting love and attention for two weeks, I am betting you will come home to a pretty angry and upset rabbit. If he's used to several hours a day of playtime and love - he will certainly need some reassurance and love while you're away. I would ask if your friend could stay and play with him for at least an hour every other day. She could bring a book, watch a movie or whatever - but he's going to need that interaction.

Also -as BinkyBunny said - bunnies health can go downhill quickly - so it really is important that she can keep a carefuleye on him. If he currently is outside - I'd be inclined to get an x-pen and house him inside for the duration while you're away for his safety and so your friend can more easily take care of him.
