A while back I made a post about my male neutered rabbit’s really stinky (non cecal) poos. I took him to the vet and the vet wasn’t concerned about it and everything else checked out fine (I also had him tested for a uti). It’s getting worse and so are is litter box habits. I recently bonded him with Wilbur, however the increase in odor and decrease in litter box habits started a couple weeks before I started bonding them. He also pees outside the litter box about once a day. The litter box habits I’m working on, I know it can take some time, especially with the recent bond. The smell though is getting near unbearable. I have confined him and Wilbur to my room for now. It’s not his glands, they are clean. Does any have any idea what this could be? Is it just territorial? Is there anything I can do?

sounds like it could be territorial. When I first got Griffin and he was a baby- I kept him in a bedroom on a different level of the house as I wanted to keep him away from the other bunnies for at least 2 weeks since he was from a breeder and had been at a 4H fair and exposed to other bunnies. They still knew he was in the house and I saw a difference in their litterbox habits and their territory “statements”. They could certainly smell another rabbit in the house even though I handled them first and then took care of Griff.

If it is territorial, is there anything I can do? Or will he be like this for his entire life?

Are his poos stinky but normal looking-round and dry?

If it is territorial sometimes reducing territory and making him a guest rather then an owner will help

At first they were dry, but now they are more sticky, shiny, and darker colored.
