Gosh   Ruby and Cotton played for about an hour.  When they got tired Ruby rested in the cardboard box even chewed on it.  Cotton lounged under the table.  They aren’t chasing each other around to bite or fight. Gosh this is sooo amazing.

If they humped I don’t know cause I didn’t  keep a real good eye on them since I am getting more confident that they are getting along.

I fed them their papaya tablets.  Cottons in the place I always give him his and she came up and got hers too. I guess she smelled them.

I can pet Ruby and Cotton doesn’t get upset. Well not too upset.  He may come over and check eveyrthing out and I will pet him too. Hurrah.

3 months and they are friends.

Only problem where the xpen seperates  her from him in her cage Cotton will still poop a little bit.  NOt like b4 with peeing and stuff.

Everything has gotten so much better.  I never thougth I would see this.

NO more attack rabbit.  coool. Something to celebrate. I make sure Cotton knows how happy I am with him.

I am not too confident to try an overnight with them. I did have her out today for about 2 hours and they did great.  I will leave them together longer and longer periods of time.   When I am home.  Shouldn’t be too long b4 I leave them together while I am gone tho. Maybe another week to be sure they are ok.

Maybe I am being to cautious.     My face feels better. No more attack rabbit.  Oh

I had Ruby with me on the couch petting her later Cotton came and peed twice on the couch.  Still jealous I guess.  Just not painfully so anymore.

it doesn’t hurt to be cautious. make sure they get some bonding time every single day and that’s a good idea to increase the time together. when i firstlelft Meadow and Max together by themselves, i had a doctor appt and was gone for about 2 hours. i was a nervous wreck! i was sure i’d come home to disaster… but i got home and everyone was fine and happy and hanging out. that night i penned them together and they’ve been together ever since!

That sounds wonderful. Maybe Cotton has thrown you over for Ruby as his favorite girlfriend! (He’s so fickle.)

Is Honey Bunny watching the bonding from the sidelines?

Hi Bunnytowne, Last night I was exactly where you were at when you posted this. I am trying to bond my girl Binky with a boy, Manuka. It was all great last night, they played for an hour and I thought maybe I can take down the divider in their room this weekend. Tonight, though as I was more confident, I didn’t pay as much attention and all of a sudden Manuka was chasing a terrified Binky with a big bit of her fur in his mouth. He was relentless in the pursuit and I struggled to call off the scrap. I said No and put him in time out in a travel cage for a while, still in the same room, while Binky carried on playing. I have no idea what set him off, which is a pain! Did you find that bonding was sometimes striding ahead followed by going backwards again? The other thing that has happened twice is that when Binky goes to use the dirt box, he sprays at her. I have tried different dirt boxes, fresh ones, ones they have both toileted in, it doesn’t seem to matter. They have been living on either side of a divider for two weeks and they swap sides and toys and litter boxes every day, so he shouldn’t feel particularly like he owns any litter boxes. I’m worried that if he continues to be territorial over it, I will never be able to leave them alone together. Thanks!
