We have been using Planet Petco paper pellet small animal litter for almost three years now. It seems to be what Lucy is least likely to dig up. We really like.

The other day though, we were in the store and the girl working there pointed out that Planet Petco has a paper pellet for cats that is much cheaper and looks exactly the same. She said that its just priced more competitively because cat owners are a bigger market.

So we went and looked at the ingredients and the only difference is that the cat version has zeolite in it.

What do you guys think? Ok to use? It really looks, smells and feels exactly the same.

I would think it would be fine. We used to use Yesterday’s News, and then switched to the bags of chemical-free wood stove pellets because they’re about 1/3 of the price.

We,ve been using it for about 24 hours now and it doesn’t seem to bother her at all. What tricksters! Almost exact same product, and the 25 lb of cat paper pellets was like $5 LESS then the 20lb of the bunny version. Wish I would have noticed this years ago!

I know the feeling. When we started using the wood pellets for litter it was the same way. A 40lb bag of them costs about $5.

                  Isn’t it amazing?

When my old job was cutting my hours, I had to find ways of cutting costs. So I read about wood stove pellets and was in shock and awe! Very cheap and extremely cost effective I bought 5 bags 2 years ago and I am on the last bag! I went out and bought 3 more bags and that should last me a good while!
