So we just carved pumpkins, and I kept all the pumpkin guts! Anyone have any recipes for rabbit biscuits using *fresh* pumpkin, not canned? |

I imagine you could just make any biscuit that you normally do, except substituting the pumpkin pulp as a wet ingredient instead of juice, water, or whatever other liquid you usually use? btw, nice meme reference |

I was wondering if I should puree the pumpkin or just leave it in the stringy mess for texture? and thanks |

Hmmm...I would see if Finn likes pumpkin before you go through the steps of pureeing it. I would hate for you to go through all the work and he ends up hating it. =p I'm talking from experience of course since I just have to have the weirdest bun around that does not like pumpkin. (Seriously how do you not like pumpkin?) |

Finn does like pumpkin! I gave him a little sliver of it when we were cutting our jack o lanterns and he was nibbling on it when he thought I wasn't looking |

@ Bullrider, Pumpkin is really good for them In moderation of course. It's great for digestion (in dogs too). It's usually recommended to get a rabbit eating during stasis, if you don't have critical care on hand.
I always have a can of 100% pumpkin in my cupboards just in case, and I'll break it open for an extra special treat sometimes |

TY that is great to know. how would I prepare it if I had to use it for use like a critical care? |

if you buy the canned pumpkin (just look carefully so you don't buy the pumpkin pie stuff ), it will be soft enough to put right into a syringe for feeding, but most rabbits will just suck it up off a plate otherwise. |
