Hubby and I have been busy this weekend with our third conco. None of the other rabbits seem to like Gismo except one of the brown rabbits, I set up a 3rd one so I can put those two in to keep them seperate to the others so they can continue to bond.

The other condos I am thinking of finding another two who are close and let them bond, in the last I thought I would put mum and the other two.

This condo we put more of the corner things onto the grids, it seems a lot stronger than the other two. I am going to dismatle the others and make them all the same, three grids wide 4 grids high and two grids from front to back, they also have pens to run in so there will be plenty of room.

Greg also bent in half one of the xpen sides to make a large hay rack it works well.

Just would like some feed back if this seems big enough for them?

Mum rabbit and her 6 babies who are now 7 months old. Everything needs to be bigger than normal size, the only thing with the hay rack is they jump in it, but thats not a problem.

The other propblem I have is they seem to jump over the x-pen.

Lisa – I’ve moved your topic to Diet & Care. The new enclosures look so great I’ve added the link to our FAQ section!

No worries Lisa! You’ve put a lot of work into building those cages or did your hubby put in a helping hand? Great job!

Greg helped alot, I make to many mistakes anyhow and then he has to come and correct it, he thinks its easier if he does the lot. I just pass him everything he needts, and supervise the work. 🙂

^^^don’t you love handy husbands…?! my favorite part of “helping” Mike is when i can just sit there with a nice glass of iced tea and hand him something occasionally.

i “helped” him put together a tv stand earlier today. hehe…

I have had a few people asking for them, but they all say they will get a hutch and put them out the back. That is where people here think rabbits belong.

I am not trying to find homes for them now, I am trying to make things easier for me to look after them, it becomes very time consuming with that many. I now can get to the back of the cage and pull down the hayrack; I can then empty the old and put in the new.

The only way I will let the babies go is if someone is experienced with rabbits and they want one for a house bunny. I will only let them go as paires as well, I don’t want them to be scared and lonley. If they don’t find a home I am willing to  keep them until the rainbow bridge bacons them.

I call them my little binky dinks.

Binky dinks, that is so cute Lisa. You are such a sweet soul for taking care of them and willing to keep them if need be.
